Beyond the technical jargon that he related, he noted in the most simplest terms that Brain May had a certain manner in which his amps were wired… and that this VOX AC30 was wired exactly the same way… He happens to own a Brian May (Originally Owned by) which I assume he used as his basis of comparison along with any other knowledge he may have used to deduce this. ITEM DESCRIPTION VINTAGE MAGNATONE MP-3 TWIN REVERB GUITAR TUBE AMP NOTE: Before reading the following auction description, please be aware that we do some listings for other estate companies, and there is no combining of shipments, which is stated in my auction terms. All items have already been carefully packaged and are ready for immediate shipment. Up for auction is this estate found awesome old vintage Magnatone Model MP-3 twin reverb guitar tube amp, which was made by Estey. I have taken many photos for you to view and to study and to show how really awesome looking this old tube amp is with it’s silver speckled black vinyl covering. As you can see in the photos, for its age, it is still in excellent condition, and still displays very well. A couple of things that I have noticed, is two tiny frays in the grill material toward the bottom, which you can see in the photos. Nothing that takes away from the overall look of the amp. Also, I believe that the little light panels above the knobs are supposed to light up, which are controlled by the dimmer switch, and they are not lighting up for some reason. I have tested the amp, and the tone of the amp is awesome. I don’t remember my Fender Twin Reverb I had when I was much younger sounding this nice. Now for the slightly bad news. One of the Mullard EL34 tubes is getting very tired and is starting to break up the sound when playing at higher volumes. Good idea to put 2 fresh ones in, and I see Ebay is selling tons of new Mullard EL34 tubes, very reasonable. It appears the ones that are in the amp are the originals, so I do understand why they would need replacing. This amp has been stored for many years and could use a more detailed cleaning. VINTAGE SILVERTONE GUITAR/HARP TUBE AMP 1334 CLEAN!

Details: TONE MONSTER This big boy defines what real tube tone was like in the 1950’s. This is an ALL ORIGINAL, exceptionally clean 25 watt tube amp from 1959, made by Danelectro for the Sears and Roebuck Company under the Silvertone brand. Compact, elegant design and tone to the bone, this is the one you want when you want to get LOUD with that vintage Gibson hollowbody, Denelectro 6 string, or electric harmonica. What can I say, this amp is in amazing condition for 50 years old. Everything is original except for the new leather handle, which I had replicated by Brookwood Leather in Mechanicsburg, PA. Thanks, Bob! It looks vintage and man, is it strong. Two of the tubes are new as are a handful of the old capacitors and resistors. Everything else, is 100% original and in flawless working order. This baby has multiple channels, inputs and controls, AND, real tremelo with the original footswitch. I just had her serviced by Skip Simmons, a Dano freak and the best tube amp repair guy in America (www.skipsimmonsamps.com). When he gave her back to me he said “You’ve got a lifetime warranty!” This baby will rock for another 25 years, easy. The cool two-tone cabinet facbic is completely intact, classic tweed on front and back, with chocolate alligator on the sides. You’ll want to wear it! There is minor wear in the alligator tolex on all four corners. There are small discolorations in the tweed on the top only. The grill cloth is in perfect condition, an awesome metallic copper fabric which just pops out of the tweed and alligator, with a gold Silvertone logo plate in the top left corner. The removable back plate is the original tweed. There are four original rubber feet in very good condition. Note that the cabinet and speaker baffle are particle board, not plywood, so you want to not bang her up. She’s in perfect shape now so treat her right! Also, yes, the controls are in the back. The reason for this is that, back in the day (from the 1920s to the early 60s), the musicians sat or stood behind the amplifiers, not in front. You know, like in a band, with uniforms, and a band leader. Cool. Think Count Basie. This is a LOUD amplifier and can hold its own with any Fender Deluxe. The original 12″ alnico speaker has a monster magnet on it and it just cranks. The bass response is powerful, and the tremelo is deep and rich. I love playing my hollow body Casino through this amp! These amps were designed to be played with the Danelectro guitars, which have very bright electronics, so a Fender Strat will sound good, but a jazz guitar will sound great. Details: Hello!  You are bidding on a very rare Vintage Silvertone 1480 Electric Guitar. These guitars were sold in the Sears catalog in the 60’s and were the first guitar for many of the greats, for example Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and Chet Atkins. This guitar is a true piece of history. The years have taken their tole on the guitar and the true vintage vibe is there. The pickguard has shrunk up a little and there are numerous little scratches and dents but the playability of the guitar has not been sacrificed. It’s construction is strong and although the tuners are a little stiff, they do hold pitch well. The pots are a little scratchy sometimes but there really not to bad, a little cleaner on them would really perk it up. The guitar sounds great, it is very pronounced and reacts very well to a little growl.   I’m not sure what kind of wood the body is made of but the fretboard is rosewood with mother of pearl inlays.
