Details: FENDER DELUXE AMP 63-66 MADE IN USA TUBE AMP VINTAGE ULTRA-RARE This is a very rare 1963-1966 Fender deluxe Guitar amp. All inputs, control knobs and channels work fine and sound great. The amp sounds fantastic and has all the 50 year old Mojo you can stand. Oh, did I say it gets loud? It gets real loud for it’s factory rated 20 watts. Other than the things I pointed out below it is completely original. Serial #: A 05236 In recearching this old amp we found the website http://www.superiormusic.com/page195.htm that identifies this Amplifier and only being produced in the years 1963-1966. As you can see there are never more than 1 and most times none listed even on E-bay for sale. We are not considering the HotRod Deluxe, Deluxe Reverb or Deluxe 85 in making this statement because they simply are not the same amp only sharing the word “Deluxe” in their name. As you can see the front grille is very yellowed although otherwise in great condition. There is a chip in he wood in the back upper left corner. This has also torn the tolex here but the case is otherwise very solid and other than your usual dings and small rips in the tolex looks good for almost 50 years old. Here is a list of un-original things or negetives regarding this amp: Chip in wood upper left back corner Un-Oiginal Speaker…sounds fine brand unknown A/C cable repaired / replaced….looks like original type but spliced, soldered and taped Fender 12 inch speakers like the type this unit had run from 35.00 up on E-bay if the speaker bothers you. Not a real big deduction dollar value wise. The chip can be painted black and would make it less noticable or the whole amp can be recovered too.On May-25-09 at 08:03:32 PDT, seller added the following information:After consulting with more knowledgeable persons it seems obvious this is a 1965 Fender USA Amp. The Transformer code looks to be: 606537 which acording to he website equates to 1965 and the 37th week of that year. The tube chart on the inside of the back casing has the code: Deluxe-Amp AB7 63″ stamped on the top of it. This seems to be a pretty decent survivor amp from the year 1965.
