Using the serial 434XXX we’ve dated this guitar to 1966. Cosmetically this guitar looks amazing for its age. Shows only a little spider webbing in the finish (hardly noticeable). There’s also a tiny finish chip on the back. No cracks or chips in the body. The electric pickups work excellent. Guitar plays and sounds perfect. Included is a pick guard (not original or attached) and the original hard case. Features: 1966 Gibson ES-330 Cherry finish dual pickup. Right handed guitar. Serial #434xxx. Rosewood fretboard with square pearl inlays. VINTAGE 335/355 STYLE HOLLOWBODY ’60’s-70’s ?? MIJ ?

Details: VERY CLEAN VINTAGE 335/355 STYLE F-HOLE ARCHTOP ELECTRIC = Plays good, sounds really good = but I don’t know what it is !!?? Nameplate was mounted vertically on headstock, it’s obviously gone !! Headstock is “open book” style (something about lawsuits LOL) bound w/ a small piece of binding missing (see pic) == very nice triple bound neck with good fretwork, light wear mostly open position frets, slight relief (I didn’t try to adjust it even though the neck plate reads ” STEEL ADJUSTABLE NECK”) == no country of origin anywhere tho I suspect MIJ. Bound body w/ bound F holes. The vibrato is missing spring and handle, doesn’t affect playability. Roller bridge. Again, this guitar is very clean and playable == light normal scratches on front, a couple of light dings and some light normal scratches on back, finish crazed center of back about a 3″ diameter area in center of back, I can’t get a good pic of it == All controls work, switch tip missing, switch works fine. NOTE: 10/27 been researching, this is probably a Guyatone made mid to late 60’s, these were imported to USA under several different brands; I found one pic same body style, pickups, bridge, and tailpiece. Details: snowbird99 Store MAGNATONE#1732*RAY MEANY ALOHA*VINTAGE STEEL LAP GUITAR Description:MAGNATONE NO. 1732 *RAY MEANY ALOHA* 6 - STRING HAWAIIAN STEEL LAP GUITAR *LATE 40′S/EARLY 50′S — COMES WITH COATED BAR AND ORIGINAL TWEED COVERED HARD CASE Up for auction is this Magnatone Steel Lap Guitar.  I have done some research on this particular model, but could not locate one exactly like it.  It is very similar to the Leilani models.  However, by viewing the photos that I have included you will see that the decal located on the headstock reads; "Ray Meany - Aloha".  I have not been able to find a similar lap steel with this decal nor one with this early stamped Magnatone number plate.  You will also notice that it is in "used" condition.  It definitely shows its age and looks as it was played often, as the MOTS covering and fingerboard is chipped and nicked, but does not interfere with playing.  I have not tried to clean, repair or change anything.  This is how I bought it over 10 years ago.  After acquiring it, it was played for a very short time and then stored for the past 10 years.  Everything is in good working order, it seems to merely need a good cleaning!  The worn grey paint on the back reveals a (black) painted design under it.  I cannot be sure what it is, but after closer inspection, it looks like possible twisted vines or ribbons extending from the bottom edges up both sides, ending at the headstock. The tweed covered hard case seems to be the original and is worn on the corners (see close-up photos), but it latches and still works fine.  It is fully lined with the dark blue shag velvet.The coated bar is chipped on the bottom edge (see photo).Item specifics:*Manufacturer:  Magnatone*Model:  ???*Year:  Late 1940’s/Early 50’s ?*Decal:  Ray Meany - Aloha*Magnatone No. 1732*Color:  Grey/Black Silverized MOTS*Kluson Deluxe tuners with plastic button knobs*Steel blade bridge*Tweed Case*Coated BarYou are welcome to email me with any questions you may have, however I am not, in any way educated in musical instruments.  We bought this as an addition to our "family music room", but no one took any interest in it.  Therefore, we never took time to learn more about it. **Be sure to click on any image for a large view**       Payment:Payment is due within 3 days of auction end.  If you need more time - please send us an email. Payment Method:  PayPalShipping:We ship FAST … usually same day or … Click For More Info
